Sing Inside Fundraising Concert
Friday 23rd February 8pm
Trinity College Chapel
Free entry with a charitable collection at the end of the concert
An evening of music often performed and taught in prisons, accompanied by first-hand accounts of the support work provided by Sing Inside.
The Cambridge society aim to do 2 – 3 visits per term and each visit costs us around £300. Since this is a student initiative, they have to raise this money themselves, and the current and outgoing Committee have worked tirelessly to ensure this work can continue with an incredible fundraising drive.
In September 2016, the Cambridge team bravely undertook The National Three Peaks Challenge, climbing Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Mount Snowdon in 24 hours. They managed to raise over £2300 for Sing Inside, Cambridge – thank you to everyone who kindly sponsored us!
In January 2016 and February 2017, we held fundraising concerts in Christ’s College Chapel, Cambridge, with both events funding a visit into a local prison. Each concert featured performances by singers from Cambridge and guest speakers, including Chaplains from the prisons with whom we work – they were wonderful events and we’d like to thank you for your generous support!
We would be very grateful if you do feel able to make a donation – the financial support of individual donors and businesses is hugely appreciated and makes such a difference to the running of this project. If you are interested in donating, please get in touch with Peter Griffin (firstname.lastname@example.org) who would be very happy to hear from you!
