Sing Inside’s daily running and development is coordinated by our Executive Committee, who currently mostly work on a voluntary basis, and all part-time. Together, they drive the development of Sing Inside and provide support to Local Committees, establishing connections between prisons and the community. The Executive Committee also manages volunteer training, new prison partnerships,  and connections to other institutions for research and awareness raising.

Maisie leads on all of Sing Inside's activity, working with our trustees, prison partners, the executive team and local committees to make the community-building power of singing accessible in prisons across the UK. Her priority is securing Sing Inside's bright future with sustainable funding and new strategic focus.

Maisie first became involved with prison work in her first year at Cambridge, and took over the prison workshops being run by CaMEO after the funding became unsustainable. She registered these roots as Sing Inside, a financially independent university society, and led a passionate student committee over the next two years before graduating and taking the organisation from student society to national charity. Alongside her work running Sing Inside, Maisie is a policy officer at ACEVO and a freelance soprano, singing across London and the UK.
