What Will You Do On an Area Committee? 

• Promote Sing Inside in your area 

• Develop connections with local organisations, choirs, universities, local prisons 

• Organise fundraising events (e.g. concerts, quizzes or other events) and encourage donations

• Help recruit local volunteers for our singing workshops and choirs 

• Support the core team to plan upcoming singing workshops in your area 

Where Are They Based? We are recruiting small groups of volunteers to join our Area Committees in the following areas where we are currently most active: 

• North-West 

• Yorkshire & North-East 

• Cambridge & East of England 

• Oxford & Midlands 

• London & South-East 

What is the Time Commitment? We estimate this will be minimum a couple of hours a month. Our committees will be small groups of people who will meet online every 2 months with our lovely Programme Manager Lucy to plan upcoming singing workshops, fundraising events, promoting the local work and recruiting volunteers.

What Skills, Experience & Personal Qualities Are We Looking For? 

• Enthusiasm and commitment for promoting singing workshops in prisons to build confidence, wellbeing, positive relationships

• Communication and relationship building skills such as with local organisations, choirs, universities

• Fundraising experience in the local community and/or willingness to give it a go

• Organising events and/or willingness to give it a go

• Time and willingness to go into prisons on singing workshop visits
